Mortgage Bankers treasure, Wood, dies at 87

Burton Wood, an institutional figure with the Mortgage Bankers Association who served in the groups government affairs department for 33 years, died May 9 from liver cancer. He was 87. Wood Woods association career spanned many decades. He joined MBA in 1977 as a senior staff vice president and legislative counselor and was remembered as playing a key role in implementing MBAs policy on a range of housing issues; MBA President John Courson called him an MBA treasure.
